Mohammad Reza Hojjati, MD, PhD
Dr. Hojjati earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and his PhD in molecular and cell biology from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center (SUNY Downstate), New York. He remained at SUNY Downstate for his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship before completing a fellowship in advanced cardiovascular imaging (MRI/CT) at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital.
In 2012 Dr. Hojjati moved to Arizona and began caring for patients in private practice. He has published extensively and has a continued passion for research which remains an important part of his current practice.
Dr. Hojjati is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiovascular computed tomography (cardiac CT) and nuclear cardiology. Also he is certified in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (cardiac MRI). His primary interests include cardiac MRI and CT, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and general cardiology. He holds Cardiac MRI leadership positions at both Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
A resident of the Southeast Valley, Dr. Hojjati spends his time away from the office with his family. He speaks both English and Farsi.
